BROWSERS

In order to get the best performance from our web site, we recommend viewing the site with one of the following browsers:

  • Netscape Navigator® 4.x
  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.x or 5.x
  • America Online® 4.x or 5.x

    We design and test applications using these browsers and have designed our web site and web site applications to work best for these browsers.

    The Scott Specialty Gases' site is designed for a screen resolution of 800 X 600.

    JAVASCRIPT® TECHNOLOGY

    Scott's web site uses Javascript technology and you will need the Javascript option enabled in your web browser. This is usually the default setting on browser versions 3.x or greater; the setting can be found in Preferences/Options in either "Network" or "Advanced".

    ADOBE® ACROBAT PDF

    Scott's web site contains some content that is presented to you for viewing or downloading in portable document format (PDF). In order to read and view PDF files, you will need to use the Adobe Acrobat Reader software. If you need to obtain the Acrobat Reader software, it is available for free from the Adobe web site.

    Scott Specialty Gases creates entertaining web content using Shockwave FlashTM for streaming multimedia, animation and sound.
    FlashTM is a free plug-in from Macromedia; powerful, small and quickly downloaded and installed.
