Whether you represent a Design and Engineering firm, or whether you are the end user of the gas delivery system, Scott's specialty gas experts can most effectively help you by establishing a relationship early in the project - at the conceptual stage. This is where our many years of experience in preparing and handling specialty gases can benefit you the most. Through preliminary dialogue, we can gather information and ask critical questions: What gases will you use, at what purity levels? What type of instruments or process will the gases serve? In what quantities do you anticipate the gases being used? Where will you store the gases in relation to your end use point?
You may already have a very clear understanding of the delivery system your application will require. On the other hand, you may not be able to provide immediate answers to all our questions. Some answers may depend on feedback that we provide. We often point out issues our customers haven't considered. Regardless of your situation, our goal is to map out all your options, with an accurate assessment of all associated costs. We'll help you make key decisions that will affect the performance of your system, and the eventual success of your project. Our preconstruction service also includes providing you with a conceptual sketch of the delivery system we envision will best serve your needs.
Designing your system: CAD
As the project becomes better defined, and construction or renovation begins, Scott Equipment Group helps refine the specifications for the components necessary to build a delivery system that will meet all of your special needs. By this time, we'll have an in-depth understanding of your process parameters and will have accurate data concerning:
- Actual flow rates
- Number of end use points for each gas
- Pressures of each gas from supply to delivery points
- Requirements for leak detection at gas storage center
- Other special needs unique to your application
Accurate bills of materials and computer aided design (CAD) drawings can thus be generated when the project is awarded. We can also recommend and supply associated items such as safety equipment and cylinder handling and storage systems. If necessary, a site inspection and meeting with engineers and/or end users can be scheduled. For more information about all of the Scott Gas products please visit www.scottecatalog.com.
