NPL AND NIST COMPARISONS |
Need Help? |
|
Inter-comparisons have been made between NPL’s standards and those from NIST since 1985. Since 1991, there has been agreement with the US Environmental Protection Agency to recognize certain NPL standards used in vehicle emissions monitoring. There have also been wide-ranging inter-comparisons with standards from NMi, which have been formalized since 1993 through Euromet Agreements on Cooperation in this field. More recently, NPL has participated in and led a number of international comparisons within the aegis of the BIPM Mutual Recognition Agreement between national measurement institutes worldwide. This has resulted in recognition that a wide range of calibration standards produced by NPL are equivalent to those of other countries, including the US and European countries (see www.bipm.fr).
Scott Specialty Gases is proud to work with this global measurement institute to support accurate chemical analysis.
