The Netherlands Measurement Institute (NMi) is an independent, internationally recognized organization for certification and calibration in the field of metrology and technology. As appointed by the Dutch government, NMi incorporates the National Standards Institute of the Netherlands for all physical and physicochemical standards, including reference materials (see www.nmi.nl). NMi is one of the few national metrology institutes in the world that develops and maintains primary standards for gas analysis - providing standards worldwide in order to provide traceability in gas measurements.
Scott Specialty Gases is pleased to offer certified Primary Reference Materials (PRMs) for NMi directly to end-users.
PRMs are used as calibration gases for traceable measurements. Each PRM gas mixture is prepared individually according to ISO Standards 6142 (Gas Analysis Preparation of Calibration Gas Mixtures-Weighing Methods). The composition of the pure gases has been extensively analyzed on all constituents and, along with the PRM's expanded uncertainty, is reported on a Certificate of Analysis provided with each gas cylinder. Stability is normally guaranteed for a period of two years. |
